Happy Thanksgiving
I am thankful for... by Nancie J. Carmody
...the mess to clean up after a party
because it means I have been surrounded by friends and family.
...the taxes I pay
because it means that I'm employed.
...the clothes that fit a little too snug
because it means I have enough to eat.
...the spot I find at the far end of the parking lot
because it means I am capable of walking.
...all the complaining I hear about our government
because it means we have freedom of speech.
...that lady behind me in church who sings off key
because it means that I can hear.
...lawn that needs mowing, windows that need cleaning and gutters that need fixing
because it means I have a home.
...my huge heating bill
because it means that I am warm.
...weariness and aching muscles at the end of the day
because it means that I have been productive.
...the alarm that goes off in the early morning hours
because it means that I am alive.

Thank You!
Saturday was our "Count it all Joy" Mom Squad luncheon. What a blessing it was! Thank you to everyone who made the event possible. Special thanks to our speakers and artists Ashley Nemeh, Praise-a-Pella, Trish Berg, and Linda Isaiah. The food was fantastic at Hartville Kitchen! A special thanks to them for hosting us. HOW CAN CHILDREN EXPERIENCE THE TRUE MEANING OF CHRISTMAS?
Tim & Julie of Broadview Heights asked a wonderful question and would like your help in finding local opportunities for children to experience the "true meaning of Christmas" In other words, they are looking for events where their children can volunteer, donate time, read to sick children, something that young children can do to help others. So far they have been looking online for activities, and are coming up short - other than the traditional coat donating, making care packages, etc. Their children are ages 9,7,3,1. In lieu of gifts for their extended family, they wanted to try this idea out this year. Sounds Great! Please respond by adding your comments to the Blog. 11/17 IS MILITARY APPRECIATION MONDAY @ GOLDEN CORRAL

The 2008 Military Appreciation Monday dinner will be held on Monday, November 17, 2008 from 5 pm to 9 pm in all Golden Corral Restaurants.
The free “thank you” dinner is available to any person who has ever served in the United States Military. If you are a veteran, retired, currently serving, in the National Guard or Reserves, you are invited to participate in Golden Corral’s Military Appreciation Monday dinner.
To date, Golden Corral restaurants have provided over 1.8 million free meals and contributed over $2.53 million to the Disabled American Veterans organization.
