What a time we had, right? If you were there, I KNOW you are saying, "Woo Hoo! Right! I can hardly wait for the next event! Oh the food...Oh the fun...Oh the music....Oh the Mom Of The Year Award, Oh, Oh, Oh I made a new friend!" I'm right with you sisters. Nicole C. Mullen blessed us in so many ways and once again I cannot thank her enough for coming. Wow. Now for those of you that did not make it, but really wanted to, know you were prayed for. We missed you. AND God willing there will be a next time so just get ready and we will see you then, OK. In the meantime

On behalf of The Mom Squad and 95.5 The Fish, we truly love you all. Enjoy your day and remember even if you are not a Mom, you are a Mom figure to someone so make sure you enjoy the day as well.

I'm not sure who the originator of this finding is, however, Luann of Garfield Heights sent a story to me about someone that had severely burned himself. The story suggested anytime you burn yourself, even if you burn your tongue, cover the area with flour for approximately 10 minutes. Cold flour feels even better but it even works at room temperature. Do not wet the area first. Supposedly, not only does it remove the pain, the area will not blister or show any sign of the burn. I have burned myself several times while cooking over the years so I am definitely putting a bag of flour in my refrigerator today!

There's No Need To Go Far For A Mini-Vacation. Try Hocking Hills State Park

Water falls, beautiful rock formations and caves cover this beautiful area in Nelsonville, Ohio. There is also a scenic railway tour that can be taken for up to 25 miles. College tours are giving us the opportunity to see more and more of Ohio. Driving several hours from home can open up a whole new world. There are even hot tub cabins there!

Washington DC for the Weekend? Sneaker Convention Saturday!!! Buy/Sell/Trade

There are lots of free things to do in the Cleveland area this weekend. Check out The Fish calendar. BUT if you want a short get-a-way AND to do something you have probably never done before. Come to DC for the Sneaker Convention sponsored by Adidas! Wear your fanciest kicks, listen to the music and witness some vintage and truly unique clothing and sneakers.

It's beautiful in DC this time of year. The Cherry blossums are out and weather is usually pretty comfortable. But imagine you and your children hopping in the car for a 6 hr trip and enjoying one of the best Sneaker Conventions there is. Sneaker lovers of all ages will never forget it. Bring your cameras. It takes place Saturday from 12pm to 7pm. My son just left to attend. Click this link for all the details. Admission is $12. HAVE FUN!
