Chonda Pierce - Comedy & Conviction

If you are not familiar with this wonderful woman of God, please scan the Internet and view a few of her videos. I have done that for years but until I actually saw her in person at the Canton Baptist Temple this past Friday, I had no idea of her personal testimony. Please support her ministry as God has turned her tests to triumphs, giving her the ability to help thousands and thousands of people that are in ministry, that are dealing with depression and those in other countries that are suffering and hungry. I was truly blessed to share this wonderful concert with my friend Mary Profitt and her daughters Michaela and Krista. You may remember Mary from photos years ago as she was one of the Women of Faith - Fish contest winners. Both of her daughters are on fire for Christ! I went into this experience laughing, then tears began to flow and then in speaking with her personally, I could feel the peace of God. It was AWESOME!! If there had been food and prizes it would have reminded me of a Mom Squad Event!!
THANKS FOR COMING TO CANTON CHONDA!!!! THANKS ALSO FOR BRINGING OUR MUSICAL GUEST, LOGAN MARTIN. He was a youth pastor in Oregon, now touring with Chonda filling in for Warren Barfield. He has such a heart for the Lord and for starving children in Africa, We were blessed by his music and charming personality. Check out his CD's and support his ministry as well. Blessings to all. Read more about Chonda at the attached site and I will share more of my personal comments on my blog on May 31, which is linked to the Mom Squad Blog but can be reached directly at http://www.darspeaks.blogspot.com/http://www.cantonrep.com/entertainment/ticket/x1538449740/Christian-comic-Chonda-Pierce-is-coming-to-Canton

Recipe of the Week

Thank you to Tonya for sending in this wonderful recipe.  Delicious dinner!

Called Tater Tot casserole:
1 bag tater tots
1 lb ground meat (I use grd turkey), 1 can cream of chix soup, 1 can mixed veg, and cheddar cheese.
Spread the raw grd meat on the bottom of cass dish, mix soup and veggies and spread ontop of meat, sprinkle with cheese and top with tater tots all across top. Bake in 350 degree oven for 45 min. Let stand 5 min and serve. This is a favorite in our house (just me and my husband), but easy enough to serve others needing meals.

Does Anyone Have A Heartfelt Mother's Day Story To Share?

We love to hear from our Mom Squaders. Share your comments anytime! If something wonderful or unusual happened to you, if you experienced a special memory or received a unique gift, if you had a difficult time and would like to share for prayer, please feel free to post a comment. You are amongst loving sisters here. Blessings to all.  And remember, even if we do not know each other personally by name, we can still, as women, lift up women as a whole via prayer. God knows your specific needs and the desires of your heart but He honors our prayers so let's intercede for one another! Bless you always.~   ~   ~   ~

In Full Bloom!

Thank you to all who attended the 2011, Mom Squad, Mother's Day dinner at Hartville Kitchen! Nicole C. Mullen was our honored guest for the evening and shared her personal story, as well as her legendary music.
As always, our event would not be possible if it wasn't for our great sponsors! A big thank you to Klaben Auto, and Hartville Kitchen, ICU Mobile, Grassmaster, Quail's Covey, and Laus Deo Salon.

The theme this year was "Bloom Where You're Planted" and our prayer was each woman would feel the "Miracle Grow" that comes from the Lord's love, pruning, and tenderness. Thank you to Darlene Outler, Mark Rein, Matt Lisi and everyone who pitched in along the way! We are looking forward to the Christmas luncheon and will keep you posted on the date and speaker. God bless you and Happy Mother's Day!:)

Our "Mom of the Year" award was given to Linda Petchler, nominated by her daughter Mindy.  Click here to watch her beautiful tribute video (and have your tissues handy)!:)
